This clinical trial studies whether cooling the mouth with popsicles (oral cryotherapy) decreases taste changes in prostate cancer patients receiving taxane chemotherapy. Patients receiving chemotherapy can experience a variety of side effects. Changes in the taste of food is a frequent complaint of patients receiving chemotherapy and is underreported as patients may think that it is unavoidable and not manageable. Taxane-based chemotherapy is thought to be associated with the most taste changes of any chemotherapy. Taste buds contain a specific type of cell, called gustatory cells, that are located on the surface of the tongue, the soft palate (back, muscular part of the roof of the mouth), and the upper part of the esophagus. These cells consist of five basic tastes: salty, sweet, sour, bitter, and umami (or savory). Oral cryotherapy involves cooling the mouth with ice chips, popsicles, or other cold drinks for several minutes before, during, and after chemotherapy causing the tiny blood vessels in the protective linings inside the mouth to narrow. It is thought that this narrowing will reduce blood flow to the cooled areas, thereby decreasing the amount of chemotherapy that is delivered to the fragile protective linings inside the mouth that causes the taste changes. Researchers are looking for more ways to treat PAH. In PAH, the blood vessels in the lungs become thick and narrow, which makes it harder for blood to flow. This causes high blood pressure in the lungs and overworks the heart. PAH can make it hard to breathe and be active. Some standard (usual) treatments for PAH can treat symptoms of PAH but do not stop PAH from getting worse. Sotatercept is a study medicine designed to treat PAH. It is a targeted therapy, which is a treatment that works on certain proteins that play a role in causing PAH. This is a long-term follow-up (LTFU) study. People who took part in certain other studies testing sotatercept for PAH may be able to join this study. The goal of this study is to learn about the long-term safety of sotatercept and if people tolerate it when taken with standard PAH treatment over a longer period of time. Lung cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer. One common type is non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NSCLC happens when abnormal cells in the lungs grow too fast. This can stop the lungs from working normally. This study focuses on NSCLC in later stages (advanced). This means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed with surgery (unresectable). People with unresectable, advanced or metastatic NSCLC often get treatment with immunotherapy and/or platinum-based chemotherapy (such as cisplatin or carboplatin). Immunotherapy helps the body's germ-fighting (immune) system fight cancer. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells or slows their growth. Over time, these treatments may stop working and the cancer can get worse. Researchers are looking for ways to make immunotherapy work better. One approach is to help the immune system recognize cancer more easily by activating certain cells, called T cells, to attack and kill the tumor cells. TAK-928 is designed to attach to T cells in the tumor and make them more active and abundant. This may help the body fight the cancer and destroy tumor cells. The main aim of this study is to learn how well TAK-928 works and compares with the usual treatment (also called standard of care), docetaxel, in adults with unresectable, advanced or metastatic NSCLC. Another aim is to learn how safe TAK-928 is in adults with NSCLC. The participants can be treated for up to 2 years (24 months) depending on how a participant responds, side effects, or other reasons. with pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition where lung tissue becomes
scarred, making it harder to breathe. People can join if a lung scan shows early changes

This study is open to people aged 40 years or older who have at least 1 family member with pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition where lung tissue becomes scarred, making it harder to breathe. People can join if a lung scan shows early changes in the lung, called interstitial lung abnormalities, which may lead to lung scarring. People with family members who have pulmonary fibrosis are more likely to develop it themselves. That is why it is important to check early for lung changes and find ways to prevent the condition from getting worse. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called nerandomilast can help slow down changes in the lung in people with a family history of pulmonary fibrosis. Participants are put into one of 2 groups randomly, which means the group is chosen by chance. One group takes nerandomilast tablets, and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like nerandomilast tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take a tablet twice a day for about 2 to 3 years. There is a 3 out of 5 chance that participants will receive nerandomilast instead of the placebo. Participants are in the study for about 2 to 3 years. Participants visit the study site multiple times: more frequently during the first 2 years (about every 3 months), and then every 6 months thereafter. In the 3rd year, participants also have phone calls with the site staff every 3 months. Doctors regularly test lung function and take chest scans to see if the treatment works. The results are compared between the 2 groups to see if nerandomilast helps. The doctors also check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The investigators will develop, refine, and pilot test the Adolescent Stress and Substance Intervention Subsequent to Trauma (ASSIST) video interventions that build upon the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma guidelines to improve mental health care during and after hospitalization for traumatic injury. The aims are: PHASE I - Primary Aim 1: To develop and refine two ASSIST video interventions for adolescents and parents admitted to a level 1 pediatric trauma center. PHASE II - Primary Aim 2a: To evaluate the feasibility, acceptability and implementation potential of the ASSIST video interventions. - Primary Aim 2b: Develop the ASSIST implementation protocol using a national advisory panel of pediatric trauma center leaders. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity of telisotuzumab adizutecan. Telisotuzumab adizutecan is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors that harbor MET amplification. This study will have 1 arm where participants will receive telisotuzumab adizutecan. Approximately 100 participants 12 years of age or older. with solid tumors harboring MET amplification will be enrolled in the study in up to 50 sites around the world. Participants will receive intravenous (IV) telisotuzumab adizutecan, as part of the 61.5 month study duration. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The incidence of AYA cancers is on the rise with approximately 90,000 new diagnoses yearly in the United States. Cancer remains the leading cause of disease-related death among AYAs, which could be due to patients having more advanced disease at presentation. It is recommended that AYAs begin ACP conversations at the start of treatment. ACP includes clarifying goals of care, discussions about end-of-life preferences, and completing a legal document that states the treatment or care a person wishes to receive or not receive if they become unable to make medical decisions (advance directive). The educational tools in this study include an early ACP educational video featuring AYAs with cancer and an ACP appointment geared for AYAs. Patients can access and watch the educational video at home prior to their scheduled ACP appointment. During the ACP appointment, a tailored ACP guide made specifically for AYAs is reviewed and questions regarding ACP are answered. This may help to introduce the importance of key ACP concepts, which may improve early ACP in AYAs with advanced solid tumors and high-grade brain tumors. Type: Interventional Start Date: Sep 2025 |
