Effects of Biocidin on Oral Biofilms
Purpose
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Biocidin liquid on oral biofilms among healthy adults. A single-arm, open-label prospective study will be conducted evaluating the impact of two weeks of supplementation with label dosing of Biocidin liquid on oral biofilms as assessed by SimplyPERIO (Spectrum Solutions, Salt Lake City, UT).

Inclusion Criteria
- Adult females or males age ≥ 25 years 2. Ability to read and speak English 3. Willingness to take use oral Biocidin as directed for two weeks 4. Willingness not to change any other oral health practices for two weeks 5. Willingness not to change dietary habits for two weeks 6. Willingness to perform a SimplyPERIO oral microbiome test before and after the two-week Biocidin intervention
Exclusion Criteria
- Current use of oral Biocidin or botanical mouthwash 2. Use of antibiotics within the past 30 days 3. Current use of fixed intraoral orthodontic appliances (e.g., dental braces, fixed retainers, or similar devices) 4. Known allergies to any of the ingredients in the product 5. Currently pregnant or lactating women or women planning to become pregnant in the next 12 weeks 6. Participants unable to provide consent
