This randomized controlled trial will compare two upper-extremity restraint techniques in patients undergoing elective cesarean delivery under neuraxial anesthesia. Participants will be randomly assigned to either standard forearm restraint placement or wrist-level gripping restraint placement. The study will evaluate whether the position of the restraint affects maternal anxiety during and after cesarean delivery. Anxiety will be measured at several perioperative time points using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-6). Secondary outcomes include pain, patient satisfaction, physiological measures such as heart rate and blood pressure, postpartum distress and mood, and restraint-related safety events. The study aims to determine whether wrist-level gripping restraints may reduce anxiety and improve the patient experience compared with standard forearm restraints.

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an exercise training intervention (24-36 sessions) to improve muscle strength and endurance in the lower limbs of individuals with paralysis. Specifically, surface electrical stimulation or previously implanted stimulator will be used to stimulate the muscles during various forms of exercise training with the primary focus on improving overall endurance and maximal power output. For this study, peripheral stimulating electrodes will send electrical signals to the muscles enabling the production of coordinated movements for exercise such as cycling or rowing.

This study investigates whether transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) delivered during structured reading instruction affects reading proficiency in children with developmental dyslexia and related reading disabilities. Children aged 7 to 17 who have been identified as having dyslexia or reading difficulties are randomly assigned in equal numbers to receive either active stimulation or sham (placebo) stimulation while completing structured reading instruction. Participants wear a non-invasive transcranial electrical stimulation headset that delivers a low-level electrical current through electrodes resting on the scalp. Sessions typically last 20 to 30 minutes and may take place at home or in person at a participating site. A trained adult is present and supervising for every session. Reading proficiency is measured with standardized assessments before and after the intervention period. A follow-up assessment may be conducted up to 12 months after the intervention ends. The device used in this study is investigational and has not been approved or cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

To assess the clinical performance of Mia self-collected vaginal specimens by evaluating agreement with paired clinician-collected cervical specimens for the detection of high-risk HPV, when both specimen types are analyzed using the cobas HPV Test (Roche Molecular Systems). The SONA FUSION Registry is an observational study designed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety of the Sonablate High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) system. This study focuses on adult men who have been treated for localized prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with urinary symptoms, or a combination of both conditions. The registry collects real-world medical data from multiple clinics globally to better understand how well the HIFU treatment controls disease and affects urinary and sexual function over a 10- to 20-year period. The study includes two groups of participants: a retrospective group of patients who previously received treatment, and a prospective group of newly treated patients receiving standard clinical care. No experimental interventions are assigned for the purpose of this study. To protect participant privacy, all medical data is completely de-identified and stripped of direct identifiers before being securely transferred to the central coordinating center at Indiana University. The ultimate goal of this research is to improve patient care protocols, advance men's health knowledge, and establish evidence-based guidelines for minimally invasive prostate treatments.

This study addresses a critical unmet need in the treatment of bipolar disorder by investigating whether Subcallosal Cingulate (SCC) Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) can safely and effectively treat treatment-resistant bipolar depression without inducing manic switches. The researchers propose to accomplish this by incorporating monitoring of the SCC local field potentials (LFP) for depression tracking and amygdala LFP monitoring for mania prediction while treating Bipolar I patients with SCC DBS Stimulation. This approach could establish a new paradigm for personalized neuromodulation therapy that uses real-time neural monitoring to optimize outcomes while minimizing risks. By incorporating bilateral, dual-site LFP monitoring from both the SCC and amygdala, this research will allow the researchers to assess the therapeutic efficacy of continuous SCC-DBS and develop novel safety biomarkers that could transform the clinical management of DBS therapy in psychiatry. The findings will have immediate implications for clinical practice and will advance the study team's fundamental understanding of the neural circuits underlying mood regulation and dysregulation in bipolar disorder.

The main questions it aims to answer are: How does 203Pb-RMX-VH-PIB spread in the body (biodistribution)? What is the radiation dose delivered to organs (dosimetry)? Participants will: Receive a single intravenous (IV) injection of 203Pb-RMX-VH-PIB. Undergo multiple single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) imaging scans. Have blood, urine, vital signs, and electrocardiogram (ECG) monitored for safety. Be followed for any side effects for up to 30 days.
